What started off as a pursuit to sell “salsabols,” to the owners Tom and Michael suddenly and accidently owning a sunglasses company - Sunski’s journey has been nothing short of an adventure! When they started, recycled plastic sunglasses didn’t exist. So, they invented their own! Sunski’s SuperLight frames are stronger, lighter, and more comfortable than anything on the market; sourced locally and saved from a US landfill.
A team of nine people, they design the durable recycled shades from scratch in their studio in San Francisco. The shades are made to last, with the aim to keep them “on your head and out of a bin as long as possible;” offering a lifetime warranty to fix your shades as long as you own them.

SuperLight is created from scrap plastic that would otherwise end up in a USA landfill. We intercept this scrap plastic from the waste stream and reformulate it into our SuperLight polycarbonate resin.
