The word Ahimsa means non-harm, a word that is best to describe a brand that until this day, remains the only 100% vegan shoe factory in the world!
Ahimsa was founded in 2013 by Gabriel Silva, who after being diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type 1 at age 21, embarked on a healing and eventually, cultural journey that lead him to adapt a vegan diet that eventually turned to, a vegan lifestyle!
To be vegan is to pledge non-harm, to yourself or to the world around you.
With a small, but very dedicated team of workers in Brazil, and a production almost entirely done by hand, Ahimsa is a true trailblazer in the industry, creating beautifully crafted shoes that are entirely cruelty-free.
